LuxTuris publishes independently edited writing about the Caribbean and its diaspora. We aim to make cultural claims accurately, identify who is responsible for our work, and correct mistakes when we find them.

Reporting and sources

Writers should check names, dates, locations, quotations, and other factual claims against reliable records or firsthand reporting. When a claim is contested, we should say so. We distinguish a writer's observation or interpretation from a documented fact. Sources and further reading should be identified where they help readers check a story or explore it further. We do not invent sources, interviews, or quotations.

Interviews and archival material

We identify interviewees by name when they agree to be named, explain relevant context, and verify quotations against the recording or notes. We obtain permission when required for photographs, documents, and other contributed material. Archival captions should identify the source and avoid claiming more than the record shows.

AI and illustrations

AI tools may help with drafting, research organization, editing, image concepts, or production. A human editor remains responsible for checking facts, quotations, and final copy. AI output is not evidence. We do not present generated images as photographs of real people or events. Editorial illustrations should be identifiable as illustrations, with their provenance explained where confusion is likely.

Bylines and accountability

A named byline identifies the person responsible for a piece and may be a pen name. A pen name represents a real contributor, never an invented second writer or editor. LuxTuris Editorial Desk is a collective publication byline, not a fictional person. The About page identifies our Founder and Publisher. We will add named contributor and editor credits when their work and roles are confirmed.

Independence and conflicts

Reader support and Heritage Book purchases do not buy coverage or alter access to editorial work. Writers and editors should disclose relevant personal or financial ties to a subject before publication. We identify sponsorships and paid placements clearly and keep their approval separate from independent editorial decisions.

Corrections

Send a correction or concern to support@luxturis.com with the article URL, the passage in question, and any supporting source. We review reported errors and update the article where warranted. Routine edits and internal revision records stay off article pages. If a factual error discovered after publication materially changes readers' understanding, we publish a concise reader notice.
